A mix of pure emotions. The director reveals an enormous sensitivity and intimacy with the protagonists. Nobody leaves indifferent. A movie that leads us to rethink our life.
Moya's humane approach to road performers in this documentary movie is commendable. He should have easy used the occasion to indulge in voyeurism, fleshing out the sob features of every person's hardships in life. Instead, he made me explore a town I thought I already knew well and I have since looked at road performers differently.
The musicians who fill our roads have wonderful stories to tell, in this documentary we are presented to some of them. Without overlapping the stories that need to be told, Luis Moya introduces us to the artists, the difficulties, but above all, how much they like to make their art and survive doing what they love. In a particular way, the director interacts with them on the streets, so that every can launch their own heart. Behind the Coin we have people, and in this documentary we can see them.
