The patina of educational & historical is the legalistic basis for WORLDS OF LOVE, pornography with that oh so precious boredom factor. It mixes soft-core and hardcore and is okay as an artifact of a bygone travelogue era.Silly poetic narration is a clue that the hour will be tough to take, as we're treated to nature shots and snippets of sex -plenty of symbolism taken from nature especially phallic.Comparison of the Viking explorers to a Scandi family of "today" (1972) is dumb but sets up sex to come. Similarly, an outdoor Japanese tea ceremony will springboard to sex.Spain is represented by guilt (who knew?) in a masturbation sequence set among the old nobility. For France we have a rack of wine bottles (natch) where an 18th Century couple makes out. The French shows us cunnilingus and fellatio, while while literary quotes proliferate on the soundtrack.A segment supposedly set in India (but the cast seems to be from America) has a buxom Black woman oiled up for sex, humped doggy-style by a hairy guy, soft-core. For Captian Cook's visit to Tahiti, a busty native girl, and then the same hairy guy actually wearing a powdered wig has a 3-some with some natives. We learn that the Swedes and Danes have sex for recreation rather than procreation as a busty blonde strips for action, and then the narrator predictably goes into a defense of pornography.A blow-job sequence is lifted from the earlier movie KAMA SUTRA '71 involving a bosomy woman from India. Picture goes further afield with a montage of oriental art and sex acts, and then oddly throws in a Nazi hump scene.Perhaps more interesting is a huge-breasted woman raped by a beast-god who strayed in from a Borowczyk film in a brief stage utilizing a fake looking horse head mask. Different international threesomes are depicted, and more of the KAMA SUTRA '71 footage, rendered comical by a thick Indian accent (attempt) in voice-over.A silent black & white porn loop is projected as filler, and then we see an orgy including lesbian sex. It's all rather tedious, especially the repeated shots of flora. Cinematography is credited to Steven Silverman, who shot many movies for Joe Sarno.
