Even dating back to his early Plus 8 career, the bespectacled Plastikman was known for his network of labels and affiliate artists (not to mention his epic parties) as he was for fabled CD booklets dipped in LSD. In 2009, Hawtin brought his two decades worth of interest even closer together by teaming up with artist from his Minus label to re-define the method in which live electronic musicians, video artists, lighting designers and DJs collaborate. The effect was the CONAKT series of concerts that found Hawtin, along with DJs Magda and Troy Pierce, and producers Marc Houle, Heartthrob and Gaiser creating a multi-platform performance set-up that allowed the performers to enjoy together.

Description: On December 12th, 1969 a bomb went off at the Piazza Fontana in Milan that killed 16 folks and injured 84. Railway worker and anarchist activist Giuseppe Pinelli was picked up, along with another anarchists, for questioning regarding the attack. He was held and interrogated for three days, longer than Italian law specified that folks should be held without seeing a judge. Just before midnight on December 15, 1969 Pinelli was seen to fall to his death from a fourth floor window of the Milan police station. Although officially deemed a suicide, the reporter who watched the fall from the road maintained that he was pushed. Three police officers interrogating Pinelli were place under investigation in 1971 for murder but charges were dropped because of lack of evidence.
