Description: In the summer of 2010, AIX Records recorded 7 fresh projects using prototype Panasonic 3D video cameras. The first of these projects to create it through the post production process was the Goldberg Variations Acoustica, which was released as the world's first 3D Melody Album&trade on August 3 of that year. It is not a live concert Blu-ray disc like virtually all another blu-ray games although it does have HD-Video of the whole session. It is a single take improvisation based on the Baroque masterpiece of J.S. Bach, my favourite composer. The AIX All Star Band has done three previous 'acoustica' projects with us and every has its own quality.

Description: The Anthony Newley/Leslie Bricusse London and Broadway musical hit Stop the World, I Wish to Receive Off is given literal treatment in this filmization. Newley stars as Littlechap, whose allegorical rise to success is countered by the instability of his personal life. Like the play, the movie is staged impressionistically, with Newley decked out in mime makeup and periodically stopping the action to address the audience, and with all the girls in his life -- German, American and "Typically English" -- played by a single actress (Millicent Martin, taking over from the scene version's Anna Quayle). In Sorcerer of Oz fashion, the enjoy itself is lensed in color, while the brief prologue, showing the actors preparing for their performance, is in black-and-white. The production contains such standards (and perennial audition pieces) as What Type of Fool Am I? and Gonna Build a Mountain.
Description: On July 1st, 2011, Montreux hosted the reunion of two master guitarists, Carlos Santana and John McLaughlin, with their Invitation To Illumination concert. Both musicians have been regulars at Montreux across the years but this was the first time they headlined their own concert together. The present details most of the tracks from their classic 1973 album Love Devotion Surrender mixed in with a wealth of another material. The evening was a showcase of supreme musical virtuosity and spirituality and typified the approach of these two nice artists. It is certainly a performance not to be missed.
Description: Here’s the Sex Pistols – the original Sex Pistols, with Glen Matlock on bass – in an intense, non-stop onslaught of pure punk rock in a 1996 reunion tour, shot at the fabled Nippon Budokan in Tokyo. John Lydon returns as Johnny Rotten, with two-tone hair, red shorts, and no letup from the popular raw, shouted vocals with which he helped invent UK punk in the 1970’s. Steve Jones, Glen Matlock and Paul Cook blast out the melody in the Pistols’ trademark fast, tight, loud style, reviving a host of Sex Pistols favourites. While the nice punk-rock moment that the Sex Pistols created and owned in the mid-1970’s was brief and fleeting, this concert shows that punk rock – and the band that made it popular – will never die. A searing evening of wild music.
Description: Luc Bondy's 1996 production of Don Carlos was staged, recorded and filmed at the Chatelet in Paris. Description: Maria Callas’ legendary live performances from the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, from 1962 and 1964 celebrate her triumphant return to the Covent Garden stage. Repertoire from these performances contain Verdi: Tu che le vanità (Don Carlo), Bizet: Habanera & Séguedille (Carmen) and Puccini: Tosca (Act II complete). Her vivid portrayals of the tragic Elisabeth de Valois, the tantalising Carmen, and her vulnerable Tosca (directed by Franco Zeffirelli) captured the hearts of the London audiences. This is Maria Callas as the globe remembers her. Renato Cioni, Tito Gobbi, Robert Bowman, Dennis Wicks Orchestra & Chorus of the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden- Conducted by Georges Prêtre & Carlo Felice Cillario.
Description: Danny Thomas assumes the old Al Jolson role as the cantor's son-turned-cabaret entertainer. As Jerry Golding (Thomas) scales the heights of present business, he breaks the heart of his father (Eduard Franz), who'd hoped that Jerry would follow in his footsteps. Sorrowfully, Cantor Golding reads the Kaddish service, indicating that, so far as he is concerned, his son is dead. A tearful reconciliation (and a more upbeat denouement than was found in the original film) occurs when Jerry dutifully returns to sing the "Kol Nidre" in his ailing father's absence. Peggy Lee co-stars as Judy Lane, a musical comedy entertainer who falls in love with Jerry, while Mildred Dunnock and Alex Gerry do what they can with the stereotyped roles of Jerry's mother and uncle, respectively.
