The Kitchen Goddess: the reemergence of the village psychic Reviews:

This was a pretty walk through the lives of the fortune-telling girls portrayed, and deals with the subject with an insight seldom seen on film. It's great to see a movie that explores psychic girls at this grassroots lvl rather than in the over-the-top Hollywood fashion. Director and writer Donna Davies clearly understands her topics and their impact on people's daily lives. One has to wonder if she hasn't done a tiny reading of tea leaves herself. A true education, and an entertaining, sometimes humorous, and everytime fascinating film, to boot. I'll be looking for more of her films.
