Description: In 2005, a physics professor called Steven Jones from conservative Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, raised a Hypothesis regarding the collapse of the twin turrets on 9/11. He proposed based on his observations, that the only method for the turrets to fall the method they did was the test of explosives in a controlled demolition. His theory conflicts with official reports which concluded the turrets fell from impact hurt and fires caused by the hijacked planes. This created a firestorm within the community and even reached nation media attention. Steven Jones received hate mail, threats, and even bribery to stop his research. What started as a mere Hypothesis became so much more.

The movie follows the adventure of a young man, an animated hero based on a true person, on his path towards suicide. The adventure is described by folks who’ve had encounters with suicide – parents who lost their child, young adults who considered or even tried committing suicide. When linked together, these experiences offer a collage of our perception of suicide. They say about how folks cope with the past and search a reason to go on with their lives. The intention is not to romanticize suicide or judge. It encourages folks to talk about painful and hard experiences and reminds us how necessary it is to be heard.

Description: In this first project of Kim Longinotto while she was a student at Englands National School of Tv and Movie she filmed the everyday life in a women boarding school situated in an old isolated castle in Buckinghamshire. Until she was 17, Longinotto lived in this boarding school, finaly she run away from there. In this dark and expressive black and white documentary, Longinotto exposes the repressive school from the students perspective. It seems to be a type of miniature state with bizzare rules, idigestibel meal and absurd punishments. The documentary starts with an graduation ceremony. The director blows her own trumpet, afterwards the movie describes the everyday routine of schoollife. The movie ends up with the students leaving for holidays. As a effect of this documentary, the boarding school was closed down one year after the release of the film.

Description: It's the summer of 1989 in Fresh York's Lower East Side. Homeless folks have turned Tompkins Square Park into a tent city. On a nearby corner lot deeper in Alphabet City, where punk became popular and Allen Ginsburg wrote much of his poetry, a bunch of folks test to create a soup kitchen work. They scrounge their meal supplies from restaurants, fish stores and dumpsters. They build fires in the dirt and cook on old sewer grates. However the authorities threaten to close down the soup kitchen. The impeccably constructed black and white photos give a view of the pre Disneyfication of Fresh York Town in this nice work from filmmaker Lech Kowalski.
