Nature: Great Zebra Exodus #

Released 5/15/2013

Description: Every year, far from human eyes, a remote expanse of Botswana's Makgadikgadi salt pans hosts one of Africa's last nice spectacles when thousands of striped nomads wander the breathtakingly pretty but barren landscape. Family groups gather together to follow the rains, driven by a constant find for better grazing on islands of grass that dot the pans. Meerkat families watch the zebras come and go, and families of lions wait for them along their grueling trek, hoping for a possibility to bring one down. Their adventure is one that is sometimes limited by the fragility of fresh life, but everytime made possible by the powerful family ties that support animals survive in one of Africa's most surreal landscapes. It's a tale of loyalty and sacrifice, of home and exile, of death and fresh life, in southern Africa's biggest zebra population.

From the mid-1880s and lasting for nearly 40 years, an estimated 10 million Congolese were killed under Leopold's reign. The madness only came to an end thanks to the efforts of British journalist and humanitarian E.D. Morel, who exposed the human rights abuses in Congo and published photographs of the mutilated Congolese.

The Doors: Break On Thru - A Celebration Of Ray Manzarek Reviews:

You'd think a film game with The Doors in the game would feature...I dunno...the Doors. I receive that the director and the surviving members wanted to document this concert, but more clips of the current band performing would have made it a lot better. Instead, we receive very brief snippets of them playing, while most of the film is another folks doing Doors songs with Robby Krieger (and sometimes John Densmore). The worst moment is when singer Andrew Watt tries to out-do Jim Morrison (an impossible task), writhing and grunting before crowd-surfing -- an absolute embarrassment. And much as I love the band X, there was no need for them to perform one of their own songs ("Nausea") after their cover of "Soul Kitchen." The movie had its moments and I'm not sorry I saw it, but it should have been so much more.
