Description: The art of concealing messages in text was common in Shakespeare’s days. Few of ebooks on codes, ciphers and cryptology were published throughout the 16th and 17th century. Petter Amundsen relies partly on steganographic techniques described in known publications from this period when deciphering hidden messages. He also follows instructions found in Shakespeare’s First Folio and on the memorial smartphone in Holy Trinity Church, Stratford-upon-Avon. Two ebooks have been particularly necessary in Amundsen’s research: Francis Bacon’s “The Advancement of Learning” and Gustavus Selenus “CRYPTOMENYTICES ET CRYPTOGRAPHIAE. Libri IX”. In “The Advancement of Learning” has a description of a bi-literal cipher, which Petter has made an attempt using on William Shakespeare’s original gravestone. The English edition was published in 1640, few years after Francis Bacon’s death. Bacon wrote that he had invented this code-system in his youth.

Cunk will leave no stone unturned as she gets to the bottom of the Bard, visiting his birthplace, exploring the Globe, studying priceless artefacts and interviewing literally six various experts, including renowned actor Simon Russell Beale, Educating Yorkshire teacher Matthew Burton and top Shakespearean scholar Professor Stanley Wells. Shorter than Hamlet, funnier than Lord Lear and easier to spell than Cymbeline, Cunk On Shakespeare is absolutely the last word in Shakespeare documentaries.

The photos from the series may no longer be familiar to everyone, but the slogan is still in test today.
Description: A 2008 short made in accompaniment with Our Beloved Month of August, documenting Gomes's and his crew's hapless search, during 2007's carnival, for one of Arganil's most storied and elusive characters (who does, in fact, ultimately appear as an interviewee/player in the complete film). Paulo "Miller" is known for taking a risky jump into the Alva from a bridge every year during carnival, but what this movie is about is, in keeping with the free-roving feature, much less the topics himself than Gomes and co.'s inability to pin him down; not only does he not do his popular jump during this year's carnival, but an ostensible technical/audio failure (as with the feature, it's very hard to tell how much of this movie is "fact," how much invented) during Gomes's initial on-camera meeting with Paulo "Miller" leads to five mins of lip-readers attempting to decipher their conversation.
Description: Death walks the roads, clad in black. Public notification movies such as this often draw on movie category stylings to create you look twice and see the unnoticed dangers in daily situations.
