Drawing cartoons has become his method to express himself although he can hardly test his hands. With a raw style, pen clutched between his hands, he draws cynical and ruthless observations of mankind. His work is praised and criticised. Callahan has provoked protest-marches and receives many mad letters. He was fired at The Miami Herald journal after drawing a cartoon in honour of Martin Luther Lord Jr. Day; a tiny man with a wet spot on his pyjamas saying: "Mommie I had a dream".

Eventually, he finds a total painless "humane" method to execute folks and animals. But apparently the executioners aren't looking for a humane method to execute. What eventually he may have found, is a humane method to slay farm animals. I don't wish any killing, not convicts nor animals.
