If you like skiing or snowboarding, possibilities are you'll really love this movie. I happen to like snow sports, so I really enjoyed the visually rich treat and perfect audio track.Basically, this film is a collection of visually stunning skiing and snowboarding scenes. The scenes (or segments) are unrelated to every another and are separated by shots from a busy metropolis. If there is one low aspect to the film, it is this strange arbitrariness. It is very awkward. However, it is somewhat overshadowed by the nice visuals and audio. All of these segments are beautifully done and with highly vibrant colors. See it in high-definition or IMAX to receive the most out of it. There are skiing / snowboarding scenes that I have never seen done anywhere - like where they all do a 360 degree lateral loop - or are skiing at night with only hand-held sparklers. Absolutely stunning. The audio is outstanding as well. The melody is a unbelievable selection of styles and will likely appeal to a broad range of tastes. Furthermore, I have never heard the 'sounds' of folks going over rails; these are nice effects. My suggestion is to see this film if you play snow sports. It's only 40 mins and you'll likely be entertained.
I am going to go purchase an Audi. These vehicles are fantastic! Did you know that the popular singer Pink drives an Audi? Audi's four-wheel drive vehicles can drive up the sides of mountains, fly through the air, and even drive across the surface of a lake! Not only that, but the on-dash display can present the car's wry comments! (This vehicle is funnier than Knight Rider's KITT!) Okay, so some guys are riding their motorcycles, trying to receive to the top of the peaks at Aspen, but the bicycles malfunction, and explode, and it's up to mega-rock-star-diva Pink to give them a ride to the top of the peak, where girls ski with poodles off the sides of the mountain, only to para-glide to safety. In addition to melody by Pink, the soundtrack details a bunch of Euro-pop sounding anthems that create me yearn for the nice old days of ABBA. The mountain territories are really pretty, and are inter-cut with a cityscape (Denver?) in a hallucinogenic fashion suggesting that this entire film may just be the fantasy of a guy stuck in traffic, who just WISHES that his motorbike would burst so Pink would rescue him with her flying car. As such, this movie becomes a cautionary tale on the dehumanization of our society by urban environments and its potential redemption by the power of winter sports.
I really adore this movie, it is one of the greatest imax films I ever saw. Maybe thats the reason why I watched it five times. Wonderful scenes from snowboarding, skiing, motocross, paragliding, together with a true nice soundtrack. I'm sure I'm gonna watch and play it a again!
