Description: Olive gets a smartphone call that she has won first prize in a sweepstakes, but she can't search her ticket. She finds it, only to have it blow out the window into a woman's belt, into the sea, a fish's mouth, the railroad tracks, a flagpole, etc., etc.
Description: The bull makes short work of the matador, and then turns on Porky, a tamale vendor who wanders into the ring accidentally. But then he makes the mistake of now eating most of Porky's additional hot tamales.
Description: Hot Breath Harry is a hot trumpeter at a jazz club. He finds himself drafted into the Army, where he's assigned to be the bugler of an African-American company. But everyone hates the bugler, because he blows reveille at the ungodly hour of 5 AM sharp.
Description: Andy Panda is supporting his pop out in his blacksmith store and expresses a desire of his to shoe a horse. Pop says him he couldn't even shoe a fly (laughs!!!) and decides to prove it to him by taking him up on the offer... namely by disguising himself as a horse (named Charlie) to fool his son. Andy agrees to shoe "Charlie" but the plan goes awry when all manner of disaster befalls the disguised pop culminating in his swallowing few magnets. The magnets within him attract first a massive anvil and then a pile of burning hot horseshoes! Eventually the disguise comes off and Andy promptly shoes the disguise (thinking it's still Charlie) and proudly says Pop, "Told ya I should shoe a horse!" Pop, still fleeing the horseshoes, asks Andy, "Tell your mom I won't be home for dinner!"
Description: A mouse, sleeping in the Zowie Cafe, has his sleep disturbed by the jukebox. He crawls into the machine, but the mechanism flings him out the coin return. The mouse lands in a glass of Zowie beverage, which he happily drinks. Bottles hint over, releasing the spirits (both alcoholic and ghostly) within.
Description: Andy is trying to build a cabin in the peace and quiet of a primeval forest with fresh lumber (and the assistance of different woodland friends). The lumber twists and turns, and the cabin falls. A bunch of eager beavers are trying to build a dam. They learn that Andy has some lumber, and they come to borrow some. Andy thinks that they are cute, and, in a generous (and joking) mood, he gives a curious tiny beaver a piece of beaverboard. The beavers receive serious, and they test to carry off all his lumber. Taking it for granted that they can have whatever building materials they can carry away, they also take apart Andy's cabin for their dam. When they steal his lumber, Andy declares war. Andy catches one or two of them, but he later discovers that there are too many for them, and he has to resort to test of his shotgun.
Description: Popeye and Bluto are on leave in the South Seas when Princess Alona (Olive) comes surfing by in her Sarong, a bird perched on her knee. The men are smitten, and chase after her. The bird warns our men that any hurt to the princess will effect in death from the local volcano.
Description: Shore leave in South America; Bluto muscles in on Popeye's girl, Olivia Oyla. Popeye muscles him out, but when they receive to the conga club, he doesn't care to dance, so Bluto wins again.
Description: Popeye and Bluto own adjacent shipyards. They are given the plans for a battleship; whichever finishes first gets the contract for the fleet. Bluto does his patriotic duty by refraining from his usual sabotage; his own incompetence provides much of the entertainment, until the end, when Popeye finishes first. Bluto, invited to support open the ship, provides a bottle of champagne filled with nitroglycerine. Popeye's ship is destroyed, but after his spinach, he manages to turn out a ship each 5 seconds or so, launching an whole fleet for the fight effort.
Description: It's the dead of winter, and Daffy Duck is starving. A fox and a weasel invite him into their cabin and feed him beans. But they have an ulterior motive--namely eating Daffy.
Description: Olive is going shopping and drops Swee'pea off for Popeye to watch. Popeye carves a sailboat for him, but the tyke spots Popeye's battleship, and the puny toy boat will no longer do. He climbs aboard, and there's the expected mayhem. Notable sequences contain a stint on the ship's cannon's control board, with Popeye caught on the barrel, then in the gears; also, at the end, Swee'Pea hitches a ride atop a torpedo just as Olive is returning and Popeye's out cold.
Description: Bluto's in the Army; he tries to sneak off base, but can't. Popeye passes by, on the method to a date with Olive; Bluto invites him in, then swaps uniforms (yes, they fit very badly). Popeye ends up in a tank drill, which he does very badly, driving through a house, into a pond, and ultimately falling off a cliff.
Description: Popeye's nephews have been practicing their melody and are getting good, but it's bedtime. After Popeye puts them to bed, they explore that many of the things in their bedroom can also be used to create music. And they are also blessed with an uncanny ability to appear to sleep each time Popeye comes to check on them.
Description: Popeye's unconventional torpedo-loading technique receive him a mild punishment: he's ordered to stand at attention. Just then, the opponent attacks. He remains at attention, even as a bomb throws him to the top of the mast, where his commander finally notices and orders him to receive the planes. Popeye fires on them, but this only draws return fire. He eats his spinach, then turns into a plane himself and attacks.
Description: Popeye and Bluto accept that girls are too much trouble, so they accept to swear off them, which lasts about 5 seconds, until Olive comes on board ship for a tour. The men vie for her attention.
Description: A goat is starving because scrap metal drives have snapped up all the cans. He finds his method onto a battleship - a giant tin can! The first sailor he sees is Popeye, who he is more than satisfied to turn into a goat himself.
Description: An old girl has a cat, a dog, and a canary. The cat and dog war even worse than normally; fed up, she says them both off, then threatens to throw them both out if there's any more trouble. The two then spend the rest of the picture framing every another and summoning their master.
Description: Bluto the blacksmith gets a draft notice. Popeye is in charge of the local draft board. Bluto gives a sob storyline about his ailments, but makes a miraculous recovery when Popeye's superb "secretary" appears (really a 1000 pound weight in disguise). Bluto, desperate, dives out the skyscraper window; Popeye tries to catch him, but they both plummet through the sidewalk, and the devil chases them back out of hell. Bluto dashes into traffic, but the vehicle suffers more.
Description: Popeye's 4 newphews test to sneak out instead of eating their spinach, so Popeye demonstrates some of the benefits: testing piano, dancing, shadow boxing but every is met with "but we don't like spinach." Finally, Popeye spanks them, and they begin eating their spinach. After which, they enjoy the piano until it breaks then test boards from the wreckage to spank Popeye.
Description: Fight Dogs is 1943 Globe Fight II cartoon directed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera and released by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. Its main theme is fight dogs training that is shown with one yellow dim-witted dog.
Description: Bluto decides he's exhausted and needs a finished rest; fortunately, there's a hospital nearby where he can fake exhaustion. Popeye discovers the deception and poses as his nurse.
Description: Popeye's planting a win garden while his nephews are collecting worms for fishing. He berates them for wasting time, and says them the storyline of Jack and the Beanstalk, which inspires them to plant beans. Popeye falls asleep, and dreams up a giant beanstalk. His nephews talk him into climbing to the top. Inside the giant's castle, Popee hides in the cuckoo clock and spots the giant hoarding sugar instead of gold; his hen lays tires, and his storehouses are full of another goods that were rationed in Globe Fight II. Popeye tries to walk out with a stack of tires, but the giant stops him, ultimately swatting him with a fly swatter and making him into a sandwich; the giant sprinkles Popeye with pepper, delaying the inevitable spinach briefly. Popeye defeats the giant, and gets him to sneeze all his tires into a carpet.
Description: Popeye's birthday, and Olive managed to receive enough rationed sugar to bake him a cake, so she invites him over. Shorty is suicidal because he never gets any mail; Popeye invites him, too. But Shorty is also accident prone. He goes to wash his hands, and manages to flood Popeye right into the sewer.
Description: A German sub destroys a rowboat, a buoy, and other German sub. Meanwhile, Popeye, with a boat full of "spinach fer Britain", rams into the sub by accident. The sub cuts Popeye's ship in half with machine-gun fire, separating him from the spinach; it then sends a torpedo into the remains, which Popeye collects in a rowboat. Popeye spins the sub upside down, then ends up in a mine field.
Description: Popeye is doing a nice job of sinking Japanese ships (complete with toilet-flush sound effect). A carrier pigeon brings him notice that he's been granted a month furlough, which he plans to spend with Olive and his nephews. But on arrival, he's run over by Olive, who instantly leaves him alone with his nephews, who are practicing home defense.
Description: Mighty Mouse animated short, although here he is still named Super Mouse. Saul's Lunch Wagon is quiet during the day. At night, all the mice keep a jitterbug dance party! Super Mouse wars a gang of pesky cats who are trying to eat the mice who hang out after hours in the diner. A sequence with hot jazz melody is featured as the mice swing and dance to the beat.
Description: Bugs wars the legendary giant. In the historical context of Globe Fight II much fun is made of the giant's claimed superiority over the more intelligent and fun-loving rabbit.
