Ogu y Mampato en Rapa Nui Reviews:

Just an perfect film with cartoons that I grew up with. A sensitive adventure back in time with my favourite pre teens idols. It also gives an perfect view on one of the hundreds of theories regarding Easter Island and its "moais", how they became to be one of the world's fresh wonders. The movie shows some of Easter Island's most asked about wonders and secrets, with some of the Island's history and story. Filmed with pretty colors and music, it shows just one of the variety of journeys that Ogu and Mampato had. I'm hoping to see them again in another journeys such as "Ogu y Mampato in the Globe of Tomorrow" or "Ogu y Mampato and Ali Baba and the 40 thieves" or any another of their unbelievable adventures. A gotta see for all of those a bit over 40 and still with with a children's heart.

I have read most of Mampato's comics, and I am a large fun. When I heard that the film was in production (year 2000 or something like it). I was very exited, but when I saw it, I was a tiny disappointed. First of all I did not like how they would place commercial test in the movie, for example it's test of the Internet (Terra). It was fully unnecessary, I simply didn't like that. Also I didn't like the changes in the parents of the kid. Physically speaking, they did not present the average Chilean citizen compared to the original comic. As a film it was a nice movie, but I will acknowledge that I was a tiny disappointed with it. It is a nice movie for children though, and they will learn from it.
