Description: One Night in Paris – The Exciter Tour – A Live DVD by Anton Corbijn is a video release by Depeche Mode, featuring an whole concert from their 2001 Exciter Tour, shot at the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy on 9 and 10 October 2001. That song was replaced by "Sister Of Night" the next day (and included as a premium track on disc 2). Many fanatics were disappointed to see the famous song "Clean" (a regular on the tour, played on the first night in Paris) not included (no live ver is officially released of the song to this date), Condemnation (from the second night, rarely performed in 2001, with few live versions previously available) taking its zone in the film. It was directed and filmed by Anton Corbijn, and released in 2002.

Description: The legendary rock trio of Ginger Baker, Jack Bruce, and Eric Clapton--two jazz musicians and a blues guitarist--was one of the most influential bands of the 1960s, even though they played together for less than three years. They brought their psychedelic fusion of blues and pop into the mainstream with albums like FRESH CREAM and WHEELS OF FIRE; Clapton, long regarded as one of the best guitarists of all time, did some of his greatest work on those albums. London's Royal Albert Hall, the website of what was supposed to be Cream's final performance back in 1968, was also the venue for their reunion show. Sounding as if they'd been on holiday for a several weeks instead of disbanded for well over three decades, Cream brought the house down with a series of four shows, all of which are excerpted here. The band performs classics like "Spoonful," "Born Under a Terrible Sign," "Sunshine of Your Love," and "White Room," among more than 20 others.
Description: One Cold Winter's Night was recorded on February 11th, 2006 at the historic Rockefeller Musichall in Oslo, Norway. Kamelot enlisted renowned movie and video director Patric Ullaeus to chronicle the night's events. Arriving with him from Gothenberg, Sweden, Patric had a huge team of specialists and equipment including 18 cameras that would be used in and around the concert grounds. The game for the band's first DVD (based on an earlier Kamelot song title) was selected long before the current shoot. Ironically this winter turned out to be one of the longest and coldest in the country's history, with enormous amounts of snow and numerous chaos-causing blizzards. A very unique thanks goes out to fanatics that had to wait in line before doors opened to the sold out show. We sincerely hope we managed to warm you back up!

Candid interviews with Malcolm McLaren, Chris Thomas and Bill Price set the record straight about the recording session. Description: Neil Young's 1978 concert tour, documented in this acclaimed two-hour movie that was directed by Young himself (using the pseudonym Bernard Shakey), is a treat for the singer-songwriter's fans. The idea of the present is high (for Young, anyway), if rather odd: roadies (here named "Road Eyes") decked out like Jawas from Star Wars, scene announcements from the original Woodstock during set changes, and giant amps, microphones, and so on for an "Incredible Shrinking Man" effect. Of course, it's the melody that counts, and there's plenty of that, what with nearly 20 songs (including two versions of "Hey Hey, My My," his nod to the punk movement), acoustic and electric (with longtime companions Crazy Horse), dating back to his Buffalo Springfield days ("I Am a Child") and continuing through famous solo numbers like "Cinnamon Girl" and the extended "Like a Hurricane."

Description: In 1987, to capitalize on his growing success in Europe, Prince toured extensively to promote the album of the same name and sales increased accordingly. However, the United States remained resistant to his recent album, and sales began to drop; it was at this mission that Prince decided to movie a live concert promoting the fresh material, for eventual distribution to theaters in America. Featuring the band that accompanied Prince on his 1987 Sign o' the Times Tour, including dancer Cat Glover, keyboardist Boni Boyer, bassist Levi Seacer, Jr., guitarist Miko Weaver, drummer Sheila E. and former member of The Revolution keyboardist Dr. Fink, the movie sees the group perform live on scene (although "U Got the Look" is represented by its promotional melody video).
Description: Nothing encourages one to ignore those silly contradictions in Shania Twain's melody (is she country? is she pop?) like a collection of her highly playful videos. The Platinum Collection rolls right over boundaries of tradition and category with its concentration of imaginative, often surprising visuals. "The Girl in Me," for instance, is set among Egypt's pyramids, while "Man! I Feel Like a Woman!" finds a stunning Twain fronting a band of mindless hunks in a funny reversal of Robert Palmer's "Addicted to Love" video. "You're Still the One," easy one of Twain's most affecting songs, still holds up as a softly erotic short film. Even Twain's more prosaic videos (the go-kart mania of "You Victory My Love") bear repeat viewing, but it's her heck-with-it aesthetic that leads to such unexpected sights as Irish step dancing in "Don't Be Stupid (You Know I Love You)." Then, of course, there are those hot pants in "Rock This Country!" Long may Shania wave.

Songs including Fat Bottomed Girls, You're My Greatest Friend, Don't Stop Me Now, If You Can't Beat Them, Spread Your Wings and Dreamer's Ball. On the exhausting Jazz Tour in late 1978 for the US and early 1979 through Europe and Japan, most European dates were recorded and then soon spliced together to create up the Live Assassins double-album. This tour featured their "Pizza Oven" lighting rig which consisted of 320 par lights arranged on a heavy moveable rig above the band. Description: Leading a renaissance of earnestness is the Scottish band Travis, whose December 20, 2003 concert at London's Alexandra Palace finds the young band onstage and on fire before a polite yet enthusiastic crowd of 8,000. It's a large hall, almost too large for the band's intimate, introspective music. But Travis pulls off a high-energy present built around its 2003 12 Memories album, lighting songwriter Fran Healy's pure-pop cadences with terse arrangements and bursts of overdriven sound. The band plays tight and clean, commendably resisting the tendency among bands to receive noisy when they wish to sound powerful. If only director Matt Askem better understood this concept. The cameras are everytime moving, giving us almost no stationary vantage. Still, the picture looks great, with terrific test of black and supersaturated hues emphasizing basic colors. Travis at the Palaceis an exciting record of a band in its prime.
