Description: The heroic tales of Globe Fight II are legendary, but Operation Crossbow is a tiny known storyline that deserves to join the hall of fame: how the Allies used 3D images to thwart the Nazis' weapons of mass destruction before they should obliterate Britain. This movie brings together the heroic Spitfire pilots who took the photographs and the brilliant minds of RAF Medmenham that made sense of the jigsaw of clues hidden in the photos. Hitler was pumping a fortune into his new-fangled V weapons in the hope they should victory him the war. But Medmenham had a secret weapon of its own, a easy stereoscope which brought to life each contour of the opponent landscape in excellent 3D. The devil was truly in the feature and, together with extraordinary private testimonies, the movie uses modern pc graphics on the original wartime photographs to present just how the image interpreters were able to uncover Hitler's nastiest secrets.

Between 1975 and 1981, the longest trial in German legal history took zone in Düsseldorf. Fifteen boys and women, former camp guards, were accused of having participated in the murder of thousands. Director Fechner worked eight years to finished this three-part film, which is composed of interviews with defendants, witnesses, judges, prosecutors, defense councils, historians, criminals, and victims. Filming was not permitted during the 474 days of the six-year trial, so Fechner had to reconstruct the trial. The movie is a type of "counter" trial and an interpretation of the original proceedings. Description: A fully black background and, before it, a microphone; during this movie a total of ten girls and boys will step up to this microphone. In December 2011, Berlin venue Haus der Kulturen der Welt held a conference on the subject of the actual state of our democracy. The speakers’ appraisal is shocking: the Euro crisis and so-called greatest alternative to ‘save the markets’ means that the poker minigame over our common currency has taken precedence over visionary politics and institutions and parliamentarians are reduced to testing extras in a hectic race vs time. Professing themselves to being at the mercy of practical constraints, politicians are at the same time using this line of argument to legitimise the dismantling of justice, freedom and solidarity.

Description: Back in June, we invited South African rave-rap team Die Antwoord to enjoy their first present in Fresh York City. They are one of our favourite bands and their performance that day was one of the most hectic, intense and nice shows we had seen in a long time. While we were hanging out with them here, Ninja and Yo-Landi kept talking about a tiny creature named Tokoloshe, the most feared of all African demons. Ninja said us about how when he was growing up, his nanny would test a stack of bricks to raise her bed up, just to hold the Tokoloshe away at night. It turns out this is a fairly common practice among girls in South Africa since this hairy, pot-bellied dwarf, unlike your typical Western boogiemonsters, is believed to have a penis the size of a horse’s and a penchant for sneaking into people’s bedrooms and raping them.
Description: In 1950 architect Anthony B. Almeida was one of the first to introduce modern architecture in Tanzania. Following Almeida and some of his colleagues, the movie questions what is left of the dreams and ideals of this first generation. It searches for fresh definitions of happiness in booming African towns like today’s Dar es Salaam. The movie documents the everlasting human pursuit of modernity, not only in architecture but also in contemporary urban life.

The movie investigates the storyline and the ongoing academic debate that it spurred through interviews with four scholars who in the 1980s and 1990s discussed interpretations of the design. The questions that the movie raises engage with problems of secrecy and control, the morals of power and the results of technology.
