Some stencil coloring is added to the fountains of Versailles. The colors change from one moment to the next. This would seem to be to simulate colourful lights being played over them.I'm very fond of fountains and the era's actualities of them are great examples of motion and shape; see if you can search a print of "The Fire Boat Fresh Yorker". This one, being shot at Versailles, covers the travelogue category of actualities. As a result, this is as nice as they got in this period.Unfortunately, the actuality was passing out of public esteem. They would survive, usually edited into travelogues and newsreels. However, movie editing and grammar had advanced enough that storyline movies were not only possible, but had been increasingly famous for few years.
