Description: Though almost forgotten today, Veit Harlan was one of Nazi Germany's most notorious filmmakers. His most perfidious movie was the treacherous anti-Semitic propaganda movie Jud Süß - needed viewing for all SS members. An unrepentant and blindly obsessive craftsman, no figure - save for Leni Riefenstahl - is as closely associated with the cinema of the Holocaust years. (Harlan's epic Kolberg was the basis for Inglourious Basterds's pivotal film-within-a-film Stolz Der Nation.) This documentary is an eye-opening examination of Globe Fight II movie history as well as the storyline of a German family from the Third Reich to the present; one that is marked by reckoning, denial and liberation.
Description: 1970 was the year of transition in Grand Prix racing; the season that pitched the old guard vs a feisty fresh breed of racers intent on pushing Formula One forward into the fresh decade. Nothing symbolised this war more than the vehicles used by top contenders: Jacky Ickx’s Ferrari 312B relied on brute force to compensate for its outdated styling, whereas Jochen Rindt’s Lotus 72 showed that radical aerodynamics represented a brave and (potentially) faster method forward. And with the technological wars came a fascinating season’s racing. Jackie Stewart was the defending winner but took nothing for granted. When various drivers won the first four races, Stewart, and the world, knew that the Championship was wide open. Thrilling wars ensued until triumph and tragedy came together in one fatal collision: on the 5th of September 1970 Championship leader Jochen Rindt died during practice at Monza. He was to become the sport’s first posthumous champion.
Description: 1974 was the year of change in Formula One. Defending winner Jackie Stewart had retired from racing, creating a power vacuum that sucked a host of racers, old and new, into the war for the Championship. And what a season! Predicting the outcome of every race was impossible as the drivers battled to come to terms with closer racing brought about by faster vehicles with better tyres. It was reliability as much as driving skill that kept the leaderboard in a state of constant flux. By the final race of the season Emerson Fittipaldi (McLaren), Clay Regazzoni (Ferrari) and Jody Scheckter (Tyrrell) were locked in a fascinating three-way war for the title. It went right down to the wire.
Description: 1978 Ferrari and Lauda had actually gone their separate methods despite winning the championship together in ‘77. Lauda moved to Brabham and Ferrari took on the young Gilles Villeneuve. Frank Williams and Patrick Head formed Williams Grand Prix Engineering, mounting their first game challenge with Alan Jones in the driving seat. Tyrrell had reverted back to four wheels from their radical six-wheeled P34, and this year it was Brabham who turned heads with the introduction of their BT-46B ‘fan car’. On its first Grand Prix in Sweden it took first zone only to be banned from future tournament by the FIA.
Description: Formula One 1976 Review - Hunt for the Game is the DVD review of the 1976 Formula 1 season. This was the year when Britain's James Hunt, in the McLaren, amazingly clinched the Formula One Drivers Championship during the final Grand Prix of the season in Japan. The reigning Champion, Niki Lauda in the Ferrari, started the 1976 season as the favorite for the Championship. His nearest rival, Emerson Fittipaldi, made the patriotic switch from McLaren to the Brazilian funded Copersucar team. This left a hole at McLaren... it was filled by the ambitious British hopeful with the playboy image, James Hunt, to set the stage for a dramatic season of racing.
Description: 1979 saw Carlos Reutemann transport to partner Mario Andretti at Lotus as Jody Scheckter took his seat at Ferrari. Wolf filled the gap left by Scheckter with James Hunt, and McLaren gave John Watson a drive in zone of Hunt. The kind 79 ‘wing car’ had offered Lotus a nice advantage in aerodynamic grip during the previous season. But for this year, many of the squads had incorporated the technology into their designs. Over the first two races Ligier appeared to have made up the most ground with Jacques Laffite taking the victories. In round 3, Ferrari laid down the team’s intentions, giving the fresh 312T4 model its successful debut.
Description: 1977 saw Niki Lauda begin the season, scarred but fit. And determined to place his horrific accident in ’76 behind him. The first race of the season, in Argentina, provided a maiden win for the Wolf team, which was followed by an extremely successful debut season, ending with Jody Scheckter taking second zone in the championship.
Description: The movie details 85-year-old Mr. Armstrong, an African American barber in Birmingham, Alabama, as he experiences the manifestation of an unimaginable dream: the election of the first African American president. This colourful and courageous activist of the Civil Rights era casts his vote, celebrates Obama's win and proudly unfurls the American flag as he is inducted into the Foot Troops Hall of Fame. Mr. Armstrong urls the magnitude of the show paradigm shift with challenges he faced in the past: from his sons' integration into an all white school to the Bloody Sunday march for voting rights. The documentary raises questions about democracy and patriotism in the face of adversity, and the vigilance and action needed to ensure continued forward movement to end racial injustice.
Description: U.S. Units veteran Ethan McCord recounts his life-changing experiences at the stage of one of the most notorious happenings of the Iraq War: the slaying of two Reuters journalists, along with a group of mostly unarmed men, on the roads of Baghdad by American attack helicopters in July 2007.

Description: A gotta for formula 1 fans, and Nigel Mansell fans, this DUKE official review video captures the excitement and the drama of the 1992 Formula one globe championship season, a year in which the dominance of Williams and particularly Nigel Mansell won him a much overdue globe title. The video is well structured featuring all of the races plus much action from qualifying. A gotta have!
Description: This was a classic season. Sennas final full year in F1 and probably his best. He fought for the championship in an inferior underpowered vehicle and the season contains his finest GP (and possibly the greatest GP of all time) - the Donnington Park race in the pouring rain (I know, I was there) where he took 4 vehicles on the first lap to lead and won by getting on for a lap. The races receive some perfect coverage and the video footage and picture quality is superb. Receive it now.
Description: The 1994 season was the year in which Michael Schumacher won his first title, but it is remembered more for the fatal crashes of Roland Ratzenberger and three-time globe winner Ayrton Senna at the same race event. This video captures the atmosphere well, with thoughtful image tributes to both drivers and many interviews with drivers and squad personnel. There are also excerpts from the key press symposiums held by Maximum Mosely held after the accidents. The build up to the season is very nice indeed, and there is a range of melody used that bring happenings such as Jean Alesi's first pole position to life. The practice and qualifying sessions are well covered.
Description: The 1990 Formula 1 season was the last time Senna and Prost would have such an intense war for a championship. In '91 Prost was nowhere near. In '93 Senna was nowhere near. That first corner accident at Suzuka is one of the defining moments in all of motorsport history, and it wasn't just the game challengers providing the sparks. Mansell's brilliant transport on Berger in Mexico is an example, as was Piquet's war with Mansell in Australia. 1990 was also the season that the pathetic Life squad tried to enter. However, the video fails to mention the fact that the squad should only manage a 7 minute lap around Imola (that's over 5 and a half mins off the pace!) in prequalifying, and also the fact that they had a 350bhp engine, compared to the 700+ used by nearly everyone else. The season wasn't without it's accidents. We don't receive to see Martin Donnelly's accident in his Lotus in Spain, however squad friend Derek Warwick has a cracking smash at Monza.
Description: Filmmaker Nina Davenport is working in California the day the Globe Trade Center is destroyed. Trying to understand that she won't be able to see the familiar building from her apartment in Fresh York anymore and scared of getting on a plane, she sets off for a street trip that is therapy and art performance in one. She has six weeks to receive back to Fresh York, and she spends them driving through a country in shock and talking to folks she meets along the way. All of them share a strange sadness - not only about the attacks - and a surprising willingness to launch their hearts and lives to this young girl with a camera. And by taking us on a trip through her country, she ends up leading us into the very soul of it.
Description: The season was basically between two drivers and a team- Mansell, Piquet and Williams Honda. Nelson Piquet won the championship through canny decisions, inheriting wins and profiting from Mansell's large ruin at Suzuka which secured the game for him. In truth Mansell should've won the championship but fell foul of ridicolous errors and terrible luck. The season was the end of an era in some ways: Lotus's last grand prix win, Honda's last season at Williams and Porsche pulling out of the sport, the penultimate season of turbo engines which had alrady been reduced in power and the last race at the wonderful Osterreichring. Many circuits in the 21st century are uninspiring with long straights and slow corners. In 1987 they had Spa, Suzuka, Paul Ricard, Silverstone and Osterreichring. They also had perfect road circuits such as Monaco and Adelaide, challenging circuits like Estoril and Rio. Funny how lots of these are not in test any more in F1.
Description: Documentary about British artist Andrew Logan as he attempts to place on the 2009 edition of his Alternative Miss World. The movie also presents a history of the contest (which has run eccentrically since 1972) which was set up firstly as an excuse to have a nice party, but has grown into a celebration of alternative lifestyles and sexualities. The documentary mixes archive footage, animated inserts, with talking head interviews and a fly-on-the-wall look at the organisation of the 2009 happening
