Description: In March 1998 director and producer Ulrich Schamoni – who was dying of leukaemia at the time – documented life in his house in Berlin’s Grunewald district. Schamoni kept on filming until just a several days before his death. The effect was a moving and colorful chronicle amounting to a total of 170 hours of tape. Interspersing a selection of these photos with excerpts from Schamoni’s movies such as "Es" and "Chapeau Claque", Schamoni’s photographer daughter Ulrike Schamoni and editor Grete Jentzen have created a loving tribute to a generous and multifaceted man.

The 'on camera" interviews by Depardon were authorised without any form of restriction by the military authorities, choosing a scattering of young boys from all walks of life who will spend 10 months under the flag. They were every gratis to give their own private opinions similar to the Aids problem, without any form of censorship.

Description: 1997 saw the release of Oasis, the follow-up of Canyon Dreams, TD's first commercial video featuring the scenery of the Grand Canyon that had been released ten years ago. Also Oasis shows nice views of the landscapes of the US south-west, most of them in time-lapse photography, combined with TD's melody which sounds mostly rhythmic and sequencer-driven. As Canyon Dreams, this video was a effect of a cooperation between TD and the US Camera One company. The pictures of an overwhelming nature were taken by Gray Warriner, who had already been director of Canyon Dreams, and by Ned Sickels in the most popular National Parks in the deserts of Arizona, Fresh Mexico and Utah, among them Zion National Park, Canyon de Chelly, Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, Petrified Forest, Cliff Dwellings and Cedar Breaks. The band's name is printed not onto the cover but only on a shiny silver star-shaped sticker on the cardboard sleeve - but this all does not affect the effect of this nice work.
