Each Pixel Says A Storyline gets to the roots of the digital film-making revolution. Instead of focusing on the high-profile large budget digital apps used by film studios, director Peter Hanson shows us a globe where the pure drive and determination to create a film is made possible with the test of these fresh tools.I enjoyed the test of upstate Fresh York. A region far removed, both geographically and in lifestyle, from Los Angeles. It gives it a tiny city feel, making the interviews with the vast array of filmmakers more honest and refreshing. Filmmakers and artists using digital softwares to transfer their visions into a viewable medium. The doc itself feels produced with the same softwares it educates us about. The raw intimacy of the digital video brings us closer to the subjects. If there is one zone where this doc and digital film-making should test a boost is sound quality. The same can be told for most independent films.Overall a solid doc that wouldn't have been the same if shot with the high gloss of 35mm.
