The narrators dull and boring tone create it depressing listening and his pronunciation is annoying. The script is littered with facts but is shallow compared to an Attenborough programme which is what it seems to be attempting to emulate.
I came to this half method through episode 3 and couldn't stop watching. So I've actually gone back and watched them all from the start. It's one of the greatest wildlife programmes I've watched in years. It shows animals, birds & insects who have evolved to live in our towns all over the world. The commentary is excellent; modern & edgy. From rats in the UK to river dolphins in the Amazon to the most pretty bats in Australia you will be intrigued by these ingenious creatures. It's now very refreshing to see how so many animals have evolved to live alongside us when we see so many things about how we are crashing the world. Watch out for the bears in Aspen who are amazingly intelligent and really made me laugh!
I love the series. Cinematography is nice and territories are wonderful. However, I have a gripe: the narrator. Has BBC run out of nice narrators with nice accent?Such a lovely series needs nice voices and pleasant narration.
