Description: Its slow somnambulic rhythm, its animalistic jungle sounds as well as the eerily mixed photos make a dream mood that comes closest to my current dreaming-feeling. The long black phases between the sequences are as necessary as the photos themselves because they leave empty zone where the "echo" of the last photo can seep through without interfering with the following image. But our logical mind still somehow feels compelled to construe some type of sense, parallel, or some erratic storyline out of it.

This movie follows a group of Fresh Zealanders over a wide age range who are walking the approximately 800km adventure along tracks, streets and even highways. They are determined, and create nice company for us as viewers. You can imagine that changes in weather, and the sheer amount of walking makes us satisfied that we are indeed watching them. As you would expect, different health problems come up, along with blisters and injuries, but the audience in the cinema are hopeful that all will reach the final destination. I do have one detail of the movie that annoyed me. The cinematographer seemed to deliberately test shaky camerawork, in the belief that gave a more dramatic feel to the proceedings. Well, it didn't. Much of the movie did not have shaky images, and those photos were often very enjoyable. Pity. Overall though, a very interesting coverage, and not overlong.
