As the Twig Is Bent Reviews:

I'm not sure if this is a spoiler or not, but just to be safe, i'll place it in anyway. This movie is a short WWII era movie that tries to support parents deal with what their kids may be going through with both parents out of the home, either working or at war. And just to reply to the previous comment, this was the first time that parents and kids had to deal with both parents being out of the home. Children had rarely each been "latchkey" before. Mom was home, that's how it was. Actually all of a sudden, dad, uncle bob, maybe even your older brother were off at war, there's no one to help the family, so mom has to go to work. It was a very hard time for both parents and children. The movie conforms to what was expected, and feared, in the time period.

In 1943 America, as the Fight was still raging on, America feared for it's kids, for they were hanging out in shady bars, listening to the jukebox, women becoming win girls, and so on. This movie will STOP your children's RECKLESS behavior, and TEACH them to be NORMAL citizens of society! Well, at least that's what the movie tries to teach the parents, but goes method overboard at what causes children to go bad.. Did you know that having Mothers work will cause Timmy to begin smoking? (or at least that's what's implied, he ducks behind a wall, and we see smoke... maybe it's coming out of his ears? who knows) Anyways, rather broad conformist movie here, and it is recommended.
