About: This experimental movie is made with a quick cutting technique that’s often used for melody videos. Strictly speaking, it is a video to a rap track mixed from a recorded monologue of an 86-year-old Holocaust survivor Janine and complemented with couplets by a young American rapper Kapoo. The symphony of life and memory, of rhythm and words, performed by means of radical montage, says about a myste...

I flipped through this film on PBS, and saw what looked like a high school basketball game, so I flipped back. By the end of the film, I was glad I did. This movie gives the viewer an honest glimpse not only into the lives of the high school basketball users it follows, but also into life on an Indian reservation. The movie follows a high school basketball squad based on an Indian reservation in Wyoming. It follows the users as they enjoy through a couple seasons, and also follows their lives after their testing days are done--somewhat along the lines of The Basketball Diaries. It's not to be missed.
Following a Wyoming Indian High School basketball squad over the course of two seasons, this documentary provides an perfect look at how basketball is woven into the fabric of reservation life. The Chiefs are perennial state competition entrants, and the special style they bring to the minigame with their fast-breaking, fast scoring abilities really create the minigame footage exciting to watch. There are incidents of the racial tensions they encounter when they enjoy minigames off the reservation, and hardships they face growing up in one of more poverty stricken territories of the country. I like everything about this movie, the scenery, the stark look of the reservation, the feeling of hopefulness you feel at the end create it a worthwhile method to spend 1 1/2 hours.
